Osteria Casa Vino - VERONA

We had been looking for another restaurant in this area when the owner, who was standing outside, gave us a resume of the specials for that night. Not finding the other place, we returned and she recognised us, getting us a table. Having looked at the menu we decided we would go for the specials courgette flowers filled with a soft cheese and served with olives and chopped tomatoes delicious! The presentation was a picture! Then we had the tagliatelle finferli e ta which had mushrooms and truffle shavings also very tasty. We had two glasses of Valpolicella Ripasso each and a bottle of water. After we finished we were presented with a dish with a biscotti and a coconut bun! The meal was very tasty and one of the best ones we had in Verona. Service was fine, not overbearing. The restaurant is away from the main drag and when we were there, mainly filled with Italians. I would certainly return here when next in Verona and would recommend it.

We happened upon this little place without a reservation. The owner was SO on top of it. It is simple food with a Veronese focus. It was one of the best meals we had in Italy. I had the stuffed zucchini flower appetizer and the mushroom pasta (both specials) and my boyfriend had the bean soup and the turbot (which came in a perfect light lemon sauce). We were thoroughly charmed and, if we were in Verona longer, would return again. I rarely give a restaurant a five but if you want a local place with typical regional food and the owner making sure everything is great, this is for you. Prompt and excellent service too!

An excellent home cooked and prepared meal of salad and pasta. Good prices for food and wine. We would definitely recommend and because we enjoyed it so much we may come back before we leave.

Abbiamo soggiornato in ottobre in vacanza a verona, per la cena siamo stati diverse volte presso la taverna vino casa, abbiamo mangiato bene, ottimo servizio, posto accogliente ben curato.
