Archie's -b-q Burgers - Vestavia Hills

The burger itself was flavorful, and the Texas toast was perfectly toasted. The peach and apple cake was decent, but I think it would taste better with ice cream. The apple cake, on the other hand, was exceptional. The crust had a wonderfully buttery texture. Overall, I was impressed with the service, as the food arrived in just 10-13 minutes. I would definitely come back to eat here again.

While visiting Hoover/Birmingham for work, a local employee introduced us to Archie. The grilled pork was absolutely delicious, featuring a mouthwatering sauce that I can already tell will linger in my dreams for a long time. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and great patience, especially since I had just come from a Food Network show focused on oven cooking and the authentic, vintage diner atmosphere. I ordered a plate of grilled pork, which came with my choice of beans and a tangy, sweet coleslaw. Following my colleague's recommendation, I opted for the pork—choosing half meat and half burnt ends instead of chopped. It was a meal that I know will stay with my taste buds for decades to come.

Archie is just as impressive as Golden Rule was. The menu remains largely the same, and the quality is still top-notch. The servers typically exude Southern hospitality, and the food is served promptly. The portion sizes are ample, and I've never left there feeling hungry. While they don’t serve ribs, the pork is consistently tasty. I highly recommend trying dishes beyond just the meat to fully enjoy the smoky flavor of the pork. The side options are somewhat limited, but if you're okay with French fries, baked beans, or chips, you’ll be satisfied.

Delicious food and the friendly staff. Our waitress Laurie was extremely warm and friendly, making all guests feel right at home. I thought I forgot my phone in the premises and the manager I talked about went over and beyond to try to help me even though I was busy. Would recommend 100%.

I ordered take out. When I got to our house we discover that our order was wrong. They forgot our fries. I called and they said we'd have to come back to get the fries. I requested that they redo our food, because everything was already cold. They said they would not redo our order, just the fries. I drove back, handed them the cold food, and got our $31 back!!! My wife and I have been going to Archie's every week or two for about a year and we've never had an issue like this. The lady on the phone and at the check out counter were just plain old RUDE!!! It looks like we've got to find us a new BBQ Burger joint
