Golf Salonen - Viborg

Visited this place while staying at the Golf Hotel. Interior and decor of the restaurant was amazing, clean and high-end. The food did not match our expectations though, and also did not match the prize. 118 DKK for a scoop of icecream and a few strawberries was not worth it! Staff was pleasant and attentive, and we would be likely to try their lunch-options if visiting another time.

Located in a very nice area, parks around and the lake across, but the building is very old and clearly needs some updates. The hotel is clean inside, but outside more attention is necessary. The breakfast was ok, but all 5 days the food was identical.

My boyfriend and I visited the Golf Salonen for an overnight stay at Golf Hotel Viborg, which had included a 3-course evening menu at the price of the stay. The restaurant has, like the hotel, a wonderful location at the lakes. The decor in the maritime theme is not particularly successful and makes the place to look like a cafeteria more than a really restaurant. The main thing is of course the food which is quite excellent. All three dishes were tasty, nice and the portions in suitable size. Everything in all was visited an excellent experience and the price (for the entire stay) is fair. Drinks are, however, at the expensive end and we were, upon departure from the hotel, presented for a great bill. Golf Salonen had mistakenly charged 2 bottles of dessert wine although we had only 2 glasses of this. The receptionist at the Golf Hotel Viborg quickly brought things in order when we made aware of the error.

We got the tigers for starter and calf and cutzel to the main dish. It tasted super delicious. The service was in the top and the atmosphere was comfortable.

Really cozy, but a little too much noise to talk together.
