Al Fogher - VICENZA

Excellent pizza, with great dough and a little more cheese than most. Super friendly owners, and very quick service. Highly recommend Al Fogher!

My husband and I had been stationed in Vicenza with the US Army 11 years ago and always thought Del Fogher had some of the best pizzas in town. Fast forward to earlier this month when we returned to the area for vacation. We walked through the door and it was like nothing had ever changed! The owners even remembered us. Such nice, friendly people! So I had the pizza quattro formaggi and it was exactly as I had recalled. My husband had the pizza prosciutto, which he proclaimed as the best he's ever had. And, it's reasonably priced, too. Sure wish we didn't live 4,500 miles away!

Del Fogher was recommended to me by one of the locals here as the best pizza in town. After trying two other ristorantes, I gave it a try. ...and now I'm a pizza snob. Oh my goodness. The crust is crispy and light, but still strong enough to hold everything on the pie. Wherever you are, I would find a way here any day of the week except for Monday that's their off day. If you're looking for pizza, this is THE place.

The pizza was cheap and it was delicious. The quatro formagio was almost overbearing but it was still very good. The espresso was also not bad, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to go here all the time.

As I spoke with a local here about the pizza at another restaurant, they told me that this was the place to go for the best pizza in town. They were right. Pizza is a weakness of mine but after this place, I might become a pizza snob. No other restaurant has measured up since I went there. I guess I'm going back soon. :
