Very good appetizers, especially slices of own production. The first painful note is the first. Fact ravioli had too thick and extremely hard dough. Good the filling but the dough so poor frustrates this positive aspect of the dish. The second is the tajarin taste of the dishes that were cooked once in the house and in fact were extremely good. The chicken was nothing but while the braised was cooked very well, tasty and tender. Also for desserts, a dish was very good (chocolate pudding) while the other was extremely heavy because of the dough (torta con zabaione). The sweet that accompanied everything was very light and at the same time tasty. Sorry for this discordance in the dishes, probably due to more people cooking where not all turned out to height. A painful note is the extreme slowness with which the courses were served since you can not wait 1 hour for an appetizer. In fact we ended up having lunch at 18:30 which is too much for a Christmas lunch. Do 3/5 because however something was good but I expected much better given the fame of this farm.
Return to the place of the crime...: I have had lunch in this farm for the umpteenth time, and I can confirm the pleasure in eating in this simple place but with a kitchen of homemade materials that seems to you to be at home of the grandmother...Do not embroidery or choreographic dishes, but dishes of once of the tradition well made tasty and tasty .Insomma try and you will not be disappointed. We recommend booking. The place is not very simple to find, you come from a dissectioned road on a courtyard of a farmhouse, there are no signs or billboard 2.0...but believe me at the end of the meal you will come out happy! Fixed menu, not paper.
We were looking for a farm in the area and we found this! Initially we didn't realize we've already arrived. The place is a farmhouse, with stable and moving agricultural machinery, tools scattered and hay bales. Even the interior is more than simple and a refurbished would not hurt. The food is great, homemade and cooked at the moment. Peperoni with cauda wets, vines, cured meats, etc. agnolotti, rage noodles, boiled, braised, bunet etc. From the appetizers to the dessert I ate very well, digested all though abundant. The very kind maid and also the cook who at the end of dinner greeted all guests. A restaurant of old times where not to go if you want to be comfortable and in luxury. Here the simplicity of once reigns with a Piedmont cuisine more than excellent.
Being in the area and not knowing good restaurants we found the name of this farm on the internet. The road to get there is quite simple only once we thought we had wrong place. We found ourselves in a real Cascina with an untreated outside and also the dining room certainly not the most modern. The food, however, is one of the best we've ever had in recent times! Appetizers: salami, lardo, calf, raw meat, gardener. Primi: ravioli al vino, al ragù, tagliatele al ragù Second: boiled mixed with sauces and fries cheese with jam of strawberry and acacia Dolce: strawberry grape cake and bunet Wine water liquor coffee. Everything really great fresh with products exclusively from the farm! After we ate so much, we weren't hanging up. I hope they continue so because in their simplicity they managed to bring back to a really great Piedmont cuisine
