Feedback gevenWe were guests at a recent baptism; the place is surrounded by greenery, with very large and well-kept spaces. We took a plentiful aperitif in the garden, beautiful the idea of passing the waiters among the guests with the various courses. The lunch was served inside and for cake and digestives we returned to the garden to enjoy the autumn sun. Friendly service and attentive and educated staff, quality cuisine with resumption of the main courses.
Back with pleasure for a business event a few years away, the first thing that jumps to my eye are some novelties: the shading pergolas in the garden, floors and environments completely renovated as well as lighting and access avenue. The quality of the food always excellent but much improved presentation. The reception of the owners is friendly and friendly as I remembered and I congratulate them for the continuous improvements.
In Piedmont it is easier to remain satisfied, rather than disappointed. With Il Groglio the disappointment has been double, since the high expectations have shattered with a location that has much to work on. First, the menu, with cold courses, with a warm taste and approximate portions. The cake then, not even at the supermarket. Tovaglioli devastated that should not be used even as rags, but above all an unfair service, this not only for the order of service at the table (usually starting from women), but because the tables were not completed, leaving two or three commensali to wait for another table to end without apparent reason. Dulcis in fundo, intolerable aspect, the maleducation of the staff of the room (to the fact that no one has even accepted us at the entrance). Starting from the dry and nurtured answer about the absence of a nap during the standing aperitif, passing through the demands of water bottles (waited for 20 minutes) and culminating at the time of the coffee, where a waitress literally offended a commensale, only because distracted. There are places where you are well, others where you recognize and appreciate the effort to improve. Groglio has a lot to work on and reflect on, but it would be enough to read the many reviews that criticize an 'education that is not right here at home. We're not coming back. Unconscious.
Negative at most I participated in a wedding and the aperitif negative experience with frozen pizza appetizers and few other grumpy waiter products especially a blonde. Beautiful location but not to repeat
It will be because we are old acquaintances... but I don't think... the grotto is always a guarantee. The location is magnificent, both inside and outside, all very well maintained. Menu chosen in advance, so we knew what we would eat, all gluten-free. Excellent quality...especially ravioli (this with gluten) filled with spectacular fondue. Excellent wine from white, red to sweet Muscat, of the same winery. All right, very competitive price. Recommended
