First they had a sealed plastic wrap type of thing covering them followed by 2 separate layers of aluminum foil. No chance anything was going to leak. Maybe not the best for the environment but good for keeping these large containers warm and secure. There was an assortment of food items including pasta, chicken parm, another chicken dish, beans greens, roasted potatoes, sausage with pepper onions, rice. green salad, fresh Italian bread. My favorite was the beans greens. I though the pasta sauce was a bit bland. The green salad was loaded with fresh veggies. They also supplied a variety of salad dressings. Can't comment on the cost or actual restaurant location but overall the catering items were decent. 2021-186
Here we have a quaint little place in Victor NY. When you step in they have a nice case of different desserts that look promising. They sat us with our pre made reservations for 2. Stepping into a nice dinning are with nicely spaced tables and chairs. Water poured over ice, table set with menus and wine list. Very promising atmosphere. Classic music playing, we were seated and drink order taken. Food ordered. I had the shrimp scampi after a few minuts of debating on what to order. Menu is lamanated, two sides, soups salads, bread, a few nice choices. Create your own pasta bowl. Steak. Tripe. Shrimp. Chicken. A nice variety of sandwich choices. I did not care for sitting in the corner right next to the registers. I felt like we were not able to speak frankly with each other when the server was popping in and out of view and hearing range. Paper napkins but that was even acceptable. The wine was tasty. I drank Dr. Frank's, my husband Mascato. I was served an order of French Oinon soup. Very hot and tasty. Chunks of onion, coutons, melted cheese. The broth had a nice flavor and was not a watered down broth, More leaning towards a gravy. Bread was brought to the table. 3 small slices of bread. The bread felt like it had been chilled. The texture was firm but soft. I asked for tha cheese and pepper shaker. Butter was hard. I was surprised I could bit into the bread! It was soft enough to eat but felt like it had been refrigerated after it was sliced. We had to call the server over x2 at different times to get a refill of our wine. She brought our food. Mine looked very promising. It was a little under cooked as far as the pasta. I would of liked it to of been less eldente At first I was impressed with then presentation. I ate 2 shrimp, Seemed seasoned well with garlic. Shrimp was tender and tasty. Then it started to get a sweet taste. I could not eat the left overs I did not care for the level of service. We had to wave her down to get refills of drinks. Waited too long for drinks and sevice I CAN NOT TELL PEOPLE TO BE GO HERE. I was disappointed in the end.
We took a walk during the down town re-open day and stopped for BBQ sandwich with fries. Fries were crispy and the bbq sandwich was good. Would stop again.
Ridiculous amount of banana peppers versus ACTUAL calamari (please see for yourself). Who are they fooling and I feel ripped off and disappointed. We got two orders and both were loaded with peppers and very little calamari our pizza wasn't much better (burnt). I have eaten here b4 and been very pleased with their food but not today.
I have been to Bistro 11 probably a dozen or more times over the past 5 years and I have enjoyed every meal. They are near to where I work, have an extensive menu and private parking lot, and a nice assortment of desserts from Leo's bakery, so it is a great place to grab a really great meal at lunchtime. I've also been for dinner, though I admit once I head home to the city after work I don't usually come back in this direction for dinner... Overall Bistro 11 is solid. Their food is admittedly not all local or organic, but it is fresh and tasty. They have great salads and sandwiches and a lot of Italian dishes, plus the desserts! Service is always great, and they are very accommodating when you are in a hurry and need to get in and out within an hour. My favorites are their quiche of the day always a nice sized piece, moist and full of flavor, and you can get it with soup, salad or fruit salad; greens and beans with sausage the portion is so huge I usually get 3 meals out of it and it is scrumptious; daily mac and cheese special always different (I've had it with peas; with buffalo wing chicken; with Italian sausage; with lobster all yum! and you can get your pasta gluten free you just have to ask. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner, and save room if you can (prices are a great value for the size and quality for the awesome desserts!
