Bucky's Taphouse - Victoria

Buckys food is consistent. The service is always good. Karaoke here is easily the best in Victoria hands down with friendly familiar faces.

I went to this restaurant for dinner with my partner and asked if they could turn on the heaters for us since we wanted to sit outside. However, they said the heaters were not on that day, showing no effort to accommodate our request. We waited for 10 minutes before I had to go up to the bar to ask for service. It appeared that the owner was the one serving us, but he seemed indifferent and did not greet us or bring water. The server did not check the quality of our appetizers and just removed the bowl without saying anything. They also informed us about last call without checking on our main meal. Everything took a long time even though there weren't many people in the restaurant. As they gave us the debit machine, the server cleared our plates without saying anything. It would have been nice to hear a "any plans for tonight?" or a thank you. When we left, the bartender (who I assume was the owner) did not even acknowledge us or bid us goodnight. I will not be returning to this restaurant. It was the worst $83 I have ever spent, especially considering they charged $2 for a sauce.

Whenever I'm in town visiting friends, this restaurant is always a standout on my trip. The food is delicious, the beer is cheap, and they have fun theme nights like trivia and karaoke. Don't forget to ask about the daily special - they often have great deals like a complimentary pint of beer with a burger purchase. And make sure to try the Mac n cheese - it's delicious!

It is strange to see such varying opinions in the reviews. Personally, I enjoy coming here for Wednesday Wing Night, where you can get a plate for $12 with the purchase of a drink. I am always able to get a table outside quickly and the service is excellent.

Stopped in here on a Wednesday for dinner. My husband is a regular wing Wednesday fan! I however got a club sandwich and took advantage of the highball promotion. It was music bingo which was a lot of fun! Though, I wish they would say what the song was because I had absolutely no idea on a couple of them. I guess I'll have to follow my husband here more often.
