It took a while to get coffee, and it was near an hour before our food arrived. If we had worked on a schedule, we would have gone after 35 minutes. The place was busy, but not crowded. Eating is OK (limited menu) nothing great, and not something to promote a return. The worst part of the experience was the way over loud music. We couldn't hear about the table at the booth. Not likely to return as there are others, altogether better breakfast places on the peninsula.
It's an old diner-style place. Your menu is probably something for most people. It is North American cuisine for the most part. It is very popular and you may have to wait a weekend, but they take names and give you a time... so you can go and come back when waiting is long. They called us when a table appeared. This is unusual, but a beautiful feature. Great service and good tasting food over everyone.
We went to Floyd's Diner from Parliament Building for a delicious breakfast on a rainy morning. The service is cheerful and our server so charming. He visited our request and made us very welcome. There are so many wonderful options to decide from it was difficult, but, landing on BC hash and American Idol Benny. Both were plentiful and tasty! If you get a chance to visit, you will not be disappointed. Cosy, funny, tasty and can't wait to try other items on the menu!
The first time at Floyd's Diner. At 8:30. Place was very busy. Coffee and tea came fast. Waited 20 minutes until our order is taken. Then we waited 25 minutes for our breakfast. When we waited, we realized that no meals were only delivered... different dishes were taken away. My husband's breakfast was okay, but mine was barely warm for basically cold. The server came back about 10 minutes later and asked how our breakfast was. I told her about my breakfast and she told me that. Due to food safety rules, our Hollandaise sauce cannot be hot and is served quite cool. I was upset by this comment, and I never had lukewarm Bennies anywhere else. So they're from our Christmas list and we'll never go back.
I have been coming to flyods Langford for over 10 years now. Hands down my favorite place to eat! I have had Mahoney 's, BC hash, basic breakfast and everything in between and I have never been disappointed! It 's on of our favourite spots to come for...post night shift breakfast and have a great meal and a wind down chat with my friends. Service is always amazing and the staff are always so friendly even when they are bursting at the seams busy! Can 't wait to see what they bring out next, maybe even a meal called the dogs leftover
