We have had desert here twice because it was that good even with all the choices in Victoria. After a few minutes of waiting a gentleman waiting near us overheard us complaining and told us it was worth the wait and he was right!I can't wait to try a full dinner.
I went during happy hour. They have a wide selection of craft beer, cocktails, and wine, and when I ordered fries and tacos, I was satisfied with the amount. The price was also great.
I visited The Palms Restaurant Lounge this past weekend with a friend of mine and have nothing but positive remarks to make. The atmosphere of the dining side was aesthetic and chic. Our waitress was soft spoken and did her job quite well.As an appetizer I had the Papaya and Ponzu Pork Steamed Bao Buns and they were by far the most delicious meal of the night. For dinner I had the baked spaghetti squash and while it was good, I found that the sauce a little overwheling to the over all dish. The chocolate fondue dish was delicious however I feel as if it lacked fruits and lady fingers to the amount of fondue. There was a lot of chocolate left over which isn't always a good sign.Over all the experience here was great and I will definitely be back.
The skinny: great service by a very qualified, professional, individual who wasn’t at all responsible for the bad food. However this happened during the summer, and their menu has since changed. The rub: We went in for the restaurant, it was very clean, everyone was extremely friendly and well mannered, we had some good cocktails and ordered. She had a deconstructed tuna dish that was basically a pokè bowl with all the ingredients lined upside by side. It tasted good.I ordered a cob salad, with bbq chicken. The abomination they brought to me was a hunk of lettuce with a piece of chicken unceremoniously slapped on top of salsa. They literally cracked some Old El Paso, scooped it on a single piece of Roman, hummed a chicken on it and said “bon apple teeth”.I can’t stress to you how outraged I am at this nightmare of a dish. Whoever came up with it should be fired. Absolutely shame walked through the city.Everything else was fine. Great drinks, great service, great location.Fever dream food plating.Mind you this was awhile ago and maybe they’ve changed.Excited to try it again hahaVegetarian options: Some options yes and they even add tofu to salads!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating staff, this shouldn’t be a problemParking: It’s downtown, whatsamatteryouKid-friendliness: It’s not the vibe, but the restaurant isn’t off limits, in my knowledge.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Calamari and guacamole was good! They make great drinks as
