Wah Lai Yuen Bakery Huá Lì Yuán

Great place for authentic Hong Kong/Cantonese cuisine in Victoria. This place along with Don Mee (Dim Sum) are my two favorite restaurants in Victoria. You also have bakery and BBQ meat offer. The food quality is top notch and the taste is just as good as the best of the mainland. Definitely the top 3 best Chinese restaurants on the island.

We're here for lunch on Christmas Eve. There was a really long line outside the restaurant and we were told that the line was up for going out and bakery. We ordered the Noodle soup and the part is really big. Hot soup is really good when the weather is so cold out. The waiter was always there to refill our teapot. My children love the table sets on every table explaining about Chinese zodiacs that I think is a nice touch.

Best Chinese food in Vic hands down. Your Wonton soup broth is so good it makes any other restaurant in the city taste bland compared. Her fried rice is also super fluffy, always cooked for perfection. Amazing bbq selection also! The duck is a must try!

Absolutely delicious bbq pork buns! I would say the best in Victoria. Soft doughy buns with sweet and savoury pork made fresh daily! I wish I had one now.

I've been coming here since I was a child but hadn't been back in about 20 years. I took my bf here for lunch and loved the wonton soup that I got. We also got pork and honey buns for dessert and they were delicious! I came another time for takeout shortly after and really appreciated how they packed my soup separately so I could enjoy it fresh together once I got home. I'll definitely be coming back!
