Seyshima - Victoria

Some of the best sushi we've had for a very long time. We noted the previous reviews, occasionally not stellar, but it seems that the resort has read them too, as everything about this meal was first class. The sake was excellent (doesn't need heated in 30 degrees) while the sashimi was tasty. There are many options and all we tried, including the restaurant eponymous dish, were great. We'd recommend this restaurant to those residing in the Story Resort.

A great restaurant situated in Story hotel. We visited 3 times during our stay at Story and the food was excellent on all occasions.

In a word, weird. Good food, nice decor, but weird, unclear, and bizarre experience. Example: the server explained to that the chef would cook for us, but not do the show. Alright? Gave us a cocktail menu but never brought the cocktails we ordered (credited our bill for it at least). Numerous other service issues for other guests that we saw around the restaurant. So, again for us, not a terrible experience but just clear that it’s hit or miss at Seyshima. Also, as we were leaving the server threw a bunch of prawns into the water feature by the restaurant. Again, not egregious but just bizarre.

Very cozy restaurant by the lake. Food was good. Had the gyoza starter and then sushi as main course. Food was good, but missing a mixed plate sushi option. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. We will be back.

Had 3 x starters between two people and one sushi roll each. It was really great. The receptionist at the hotel even drove us to the door of the restaurant in a golf cart. Would recommend.
