When I returned, I requested a mayo dip to be added, which they did, and charged me for it. After a twenty-minute wait, my order was called. I asked if the dip was included, and they told me I hadn't ordered one and would need to pay for it. I insisted that I had and mentioned my conversation with the cashier who had taken my order. After some back and forth, I ended up leaving without the dip, making it clear that I wouldn't be returning. It may seem like a small issue, but you should get what you pay for. In the end, I decided to throw my food away (my choice, I'd rather go hungry).
On my second visit, I asked if they served proper chicken fillet burgers, and I was assured they did. What I received, however, was a processed chicken burger—not the fresh battered chicken fillet I was expecting. Yet, I was charged the price of a genuine fillet burger. My third meal was a doner kebab, and it was far from what I anticipated. Instead of traditional doner meat, it was fried on a greasy hotplate. While the meat was of better quality than typical doner, I had chosen this dish specifically for the doner experience, which I was promised. To make matters worse, I found only 12 tiny pieces of meat. I don't expect a mountain of meat, but this was truly pitiful. The whole thing was drenched in grease, which made the chips soggy and mushy, and the onions and peppers were also inedible. In the end, I tossed the meal in the bin, feeling like I had thrown my money out the window on the way home. This has been the worst takeout experience I've ever had, and I won't be returning. Additionally, from what I've seen of their fish, it looks tiny based on the display, and the prices are just as high as at other places.
My friend and I used to visit this chip shop every Friday, but after getting sausages and chips that tasted off, we later discovered we both had food poisoning. We stayed away for seven months, but decided to give it another try last Saturday, September 13, 2014. I ordered a chicken burger and chips, but unfortunately, my chips were freezing cold, with hot chips piled on top of them! A few hours later, I started feeling queasy, and it only got worse in the following days. I experienced severe stomach pains, constant nausea, daily heartburn, and an overwhelming thirst while not wanting to eat at all. It turns out I got another case of food poisoning! I’m just beginning to feel normal again six days later. I will never return to this place; it was an awful experience.
Food is lovely best chippy I've had in a long time
