The steaks are grilled outdoors, which adds to the flavor. I tried the T-Bone special; it wasn't overly thick, but it definitely satisfied my hunger. It's definitely better than some other diners nearby, and the attentive service is a nice bonus.
The servers were friendly and attentive. My food arrived hot, and I didn't have to wait long for it. The portions were generous. I dined alone, and my total was about $30 – $25 for the food and a $5 tip.
Great food, great atmosphere and amazing staff. Everyone was courteous and we were served the best steak we've ever had. Definitely worth the price.
Growing up in victorville I always wanted to visit this diner but never had an opportunity to. I?m delighted to say I finally ate here not once but twice in one week. The atmosphere- adorable. You feel like you?ve been transported back in time with the decor and music. Even the menu looks classic. This place is great for families, couples, friends, and solo travelers. The food was bad. My friend who is a regular here told me I had to order meat (even though I eat mainly plant based). So I broke my diet and ordered ?California chicken on a bun?. The chicken was rubbery and difficult to chew. I thought they forgot to put tomato in it so when I opened it to check I saw that the one they put in it was so thin that it was translucent. The French fries were delicious though. I was really disappointed with my food experience. My friend told me that I needed to go back and order dessert there. So I ordered a ?diner double dipper hot fudge sundae? this was good. My mother ordered the triple scoop banana split- she said that she had trouble finding the bananas in it and when she did that it tasted bad. Friendly service! The restaurant could do with some more thorough cleaning- a lot of fingerprints are all over the round windows above the tables.
I absolutely love this diner! They have an enormous menu, and everything we've tried so far has been fantastic. The decor and atmosphere really capture the classic 1950s diner vibe. The service is consistently excellent. My personal favorite is the navy bean soup, and the desserts are simply incredible as well.
