Basic Portuguese food and great prices. Not much atmosphere but typical local specialties like cabrito and veal. Lovely staff at very reasonable pricea.

Great Portuguese food served by friendly family. Good wines and great value. We stopped in earlier to see if we had to reserve and although there was no need when we got there we found they had kept a lovely window seat for us. Highly recommended.

Do you want to taste the best Portuguese food? Do you want to flush it down with the best Portuguese wines? Do you want to experience the best Portuguese hospitality? No, you do not go to three places. Go to PedraVerde in Vieira do Minho and experience the three in one go. My wife and I spent a few days in the area and walked into Pedra Verde more or less by chance for a liquid refreshment and were talked into returning for our evening meal. We have live in Portugal for 18 years and travelled around the country a lot. Never before have we experienced such fantabulous foods, wines, and service. Just let Senhor Nuno, the restaurateur, guide you through the menu and the wine list and you will not get a better meal in the entire Republic of Portugal. And the final surprise will come when you get your bill. All Nuno's prices are very moderate. If you want to make the best of the visit Nuno has rooms above the restaurant for you to stay in and he will serve you breakfast the following day in the morning. In fact, Pedra Verde would make a splendid base for you holiday in the beautiful Vieira do Minho area.

Queríamos um restaurante simples, típico, limpo e bom E encontrámos!!! Sem pretensões, só simpatia e comida deliciosa! Bacalhau, cabrito, chouriço tudo ótimo incluindo o vinho verde! We just wanted a nice, typical, uncomplicated, clean, good restaurant... and we found it! Together with delicious food and very friendly owner/staff! A traditional little restaurant that is quite unassuming but very very good. Don’t just pass by, stop and enjoy great food and lovely people
