Wife and I biked past this place many times and finally stopped in today to check it out. So glad we did! I got a glass of the session Citra IPA and a sandwich. Food was good, better than bar food. The beer is really good, one of the best I've had from the local area, and their beer menu has great variety. Definitely coming back to try some others. The service was fast and answered all our questions with a smile.
Really disappointed. We tried to attend their recent Books N Brews event but there were a myriad of problems. No parking available in front or back (and no communication that parking might be difficult), book sales were poorly laid out and hard to get to with people having to weave just to see tables, and when we tried to grab food and drinks we were told there were no tables available because they had reservations til past 730pm. The host even openly said to us it was a poorly planned combination of event and reservations. We really wanted to try both this tavern and peruse books but neither was feasible.Hope to try to come back another time but probably not for an event.
My friends who live nearby took me here for brunch on a Saturday morning and it was so good! Their hash with chorizo was so delicious. My friend's buffalo chicken sandwich looked great, I'll have to try it next time. Even the kid pancakes looked tasty. They had a huge coffee menu and the Mexican coffee and regular cappuccino were so good.I'd love to come back for a beer when it's warmer and not raining! It looked like a fun place to hang out.
Caboose is solid, good food, good drinks (coffee or beer) and if there is a table available the service is consistently good.
