Toni's Restaurant - Vienna

As it was very close to our hotel, we went on the first day and ended up having dinner there most days. Good, unpretentious food. Very good service. At a nice price. On the second day the waiter was already asking if we wanted the...usual for drinks.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Vienna. My wife and I dined there this evening. The veal medallions, asparagus, and potatoes were flavorful and prepared to perfection. I have dined in Michelin Five Star restaurants, and numerous restaurants in New York City during the...25 years that I lived there, and none have plated a meal like this. The establishment is family owned, and the service and staff are excellent. I would recommend that Toni’s be put on a list of places to have dinner on a visit to Vienna.

Das Wichtigste zuerst, ich hatte den Eindruck, hier wird sehr vieles Hausgemacht. Die Speisekarte zeigt die gesamte Winer Küche vom Tafelspitz über das Wiener Schnitzel bis zum Kaiserschmarrn. Das Ganze ist recht preiswert, der Service freundlich, das Essen kommt auch recht schnell auf den Tisch. Man kann draußen auf dem Bürgersteig sitzen, innen ist es sogar klimatisiert. Wenn man hier in der Nähe ist oder vorbeikommt ist das ne gute Wahl, extra hierherkommen muss man aber nicht.
