Rays Capitol Grille - Vientiane

A fantastic restaurant and a bar with magnificent views over the Mekong, with Thailand on the other side. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the food is very expensive and the service is friendly and helpful. Only a nice place to visit By elevator accessible.

Great atmosphere. Nice view. Loved the food and the music. Price is fairly cheap given the quality service. Was a little disappointed that some menus we are not available. But I enjoyed my time there.

Great breakfast place on the top floor of the Capitol Residence Hotel, excellent selection of classic brrakfast options such as eggs Benedict, various Scrambles, and more. Perfect place for a morning meeting or relaxing and in the beautiful view of Vientiane! This is Ray's second setup, as the original is on the street and continues to serve the best Philly cheese steak sandwich outside Philadelphia! Give both a try and you will certainly not be disappointed.

Sitting on top of Capitol. I drink Margarita. Heart beats faster then usual due to alcohol. No AC, just a fan blows hot wind. After Songkran nobody went, hot, but cozy. Over the balcony you could see the lights flowing through the street, the Mekong and Thailand on the other side. Several stars, a large round bright moon. I don't think of anyone and nothing, but I should try my best to think in Vientiane this night.

Best Western food I’ve ever had in Asia, by far. I liked everything that I tried on the menu, especially the nachos. The staff is pleasant and Ralph goes out of his way to make people feel welcome.
