On top of all of that the younger gentleman offered to make and keep low salt gravy in the freezer for the next time we come around because my son can't have sodium. I was amazed he would go out of his way like that. Just a wonderful place with spectacular people.
I had no idea what to expect going in there. It is clean, neat and very quaint. The staff is friendly and the food AMAZING! I had a bacon cheeseburger, and the patty tasted fresh and home made, juicy and packed with flavour. The bacon was crisp and tasty as well. The fries were very fresh and the gravy definitely homemade. What a treat!
It's a nice little place with good burgers. If you live in eastern central Alberta or you're passing by then I'd definitely recommend stopping in and grabbing a bite. It small and quaint, but the one waiter is part owner and seems invested in his business.
We went for the fish and chips; while there, we heard about their pie. Tried both the apple and chocolate cream (last piece of each). They were made from scratch and truly delectable! The apple pie was thick with apples, spiced just right, and the pastry was flaky. The chocolate cream pie was heavenly, (and this from a non chocolate fan) the crust had the perfect blend of crunchy and moist, real whipped cream on top, and melt in your mouth filling. If you go, eat pie first!!
Great little family run restaurant. The hamburger was home made and delicious as were the fries. Will definitely go back.
