Cape St Vincent is the most southwestern point of mainland Europe and attracts hordes of tourists. The main building is a former 16th century Franciscan convent. Artesanato Sao Vicente is selling Portuguese souvenirs tourist items. Opposite to the shop is the modern café. The café offers simple lunch food, sandwiches, pastries, coffee tea, soft drinks juices. It is popular with by-passers and tourists. You enjoy your coffee inside or at the terrace. Service is adequate. Visiting the lighthouse were tempted for coffee. We went for a cappuccino and an espresso. The coffee was good but adapted to tourist prices.
Set in the fort at Cape St Vincent, the cafe is an interesting modern use of materials looks clean and tidy. The coffee was (as always in Portugal) excellent and the pastries very tasty.
The café looks good. the food and galau cafe was okay. but that was really the worst service I've ever had. If staff members don't wanna work there...maybe have a look for a new job. they were all miserable. not one smile. not interested in the guest at all!! my cake slice didn't make it all on to my plate. then he dropped it over the bench. and just pushed it back on the plate, like seriously?? should have asked for a new one! managers maybe get them into a job motivation course
We stopped at Artesanato for a short break whilst exploring the Lagos region. The prices were reasonable food good. We enjoyed our coffee too .
This restaurant makes a very good alternative to any of the food/drink outlets at Cape St Vincent. It is a large barn like structure, which it needs to be to hold what seems to be about 100 stuffed exotic animals. Children love it! We found the food, snacks and drinks all most acceptable. If you are driving or on a bile it makes a convenient place to stop to admire the food.
