Quinta Do Jalloto Family Vineyards

We visited the Quinta in April, there were not so many tourists, so we could enjoy the breathtaking views of the Douro Valley, tranquility of nature during tasting of different wines, as well as homemade olive oil and honey and other tapas. We also booked the wine-experience tour, and in the end it was only us, Marta a super interesting tour about the history of her family vineyard and the wine-growing process in the Quinta. We highly recommend this place, and we will definitely come closer later in September to hopefully catch the moment of grape harvest and perhaps even experience the footstamp process on grapes, and of course try your wine again!

Absolutely beautiful cellar and staff take care of their customers. They have limited hectares of land, but the wines are fabulous and we recommend visitors to come here if they are looking for a local family vineyard.

Beautiful winery with stunning views, excellent wine and a very charismatic guide! Also try their olive oil and honey, it is delicious. I recommend the reservation, although it is not mandatory. Important to note; if you make your way there via Google Map, take the long way around how the shorter by extremely steep gravel roads through a winery (we had to turn around). It's a pretty narrow, high and winding route to get there, but it's worth it!

Absolutely loved this vineyard, in an incredibly scenic location. Fantastic value for great quality wine, and the tapas were also delicious. Brilliantly easy online booking system. The photos online do not do this place justice! We got delayed hiking from Pinhao station and the gentleman who served us was so kind and accommodating. I will be recommending this vineyard to anyone who visits the region.

A beautiful, family run vineyard. You get a wonderful sense of the history of wine-making and a really personal experience in being shown the vineyard by the family who have run it for generations. I'm not a massive fan of most rose wine but theirs was wonderful! Definitely try it if you get the chance to go!
