C'est une brasserie ou on retrouve les plats typiques colombiens sans être révisites. Le poisson "bagre" , le riz au poulet, la langue et le poisson" mojarra" sont des exemples que ici l'on se sent en Colombie. L'Accueil et le cadre sont dambience familiale agréable. Il y a l' WiFiIl faut goûter le "refajo": boisson typique colombienne. .Il manque une carte de desserts.En conclusion : on a ce qu'on attend. Ce n'est pas un resto gastronomique mais c'est une bonne brasserie pour déjeuner en famille.Bien sûr, la Chaîne sportive à la télé est incontestable.

A lovely chicken rotisserie served with succulent bell potatos, a menu elaborate enough to satisfy our tastes. Llegamos a Villa de Leyva pasado el medio día y luego de un rato de buscar hospedaje no teníamos claro que comer, así que mi esposa y yo decidimos ir a la fija con un plato que por lo general no tiene riesgo: el pollo asado. La fortuna nos sonrió y pasamos por el pórtico de este restaurante y nos atendió su propietario Vidal.

Al Carbon is a very typical Colombian barbecue restaurant. There is nothing fancy about the place but it gives a very local feeling - from the kitchen with the parilla upfront to the pebble stone floor. The portions typical of Colombia are very generous. I had twice eaten at this place since my hotel is just across the road. My pork chops were wonderful, washed down with their house wine a Chilean red (just perfect). Service was very quick (considering on both occasions I was the only guest). Most of all the price was very reasonable compared to the restaurants in the plaza mayor. The restaurant is about 10-15 minute walk from Parque Narino. I recommend for local food, atmosphere and value. (I spent something like less than USD 10.00 for my dinner.)
