Also the Lomo San Cayetano ordered with blue cheese and it was great. Guiso is one of the best I had. It's a bit expensive, but I really did add the food.
The service was very good, friendly and fast. But the food... not recommended... I had the Gamberones aljilo and the Paella... never had a paella so terrible... it was never fresh... it took 15min after ordering the paella... a good paella takes about 40min... we had to drink some shots after meal to forget......
I say this is NOT a Spanish restaurant. There was no Spanish cooking style in one of the dishes we were served. The food was common and not as advertised on the menu. The steak of my girlfriend was served medium when I ordered 3/4 and I swallowed my chicken dish with her to not send it back. Our appetizer of Spanish chorizo with Papas bravas was ok, but not worth the price as the Spanish chorizo was a Colombian salchicha antioqueña or something similar, but definitely not Spanish chorizo. I enjoyed our Sangria (again a bit expensive) and the ambience is what tourists love... old world terrace and live guitar music. The service was slow, although there were not many people when we arrived. For the price there are much better options in Villa de Leyva and I doubt that we will return there soon.
