Bayville Deli Pizzeria

While driving around aimlessly, I spotted their sign and thought, "I'm in New York; I need pizza." This wasn't your typical NY slice. It was delicious—loaded with spinach, fried chicken, fresh tomato chunks, and just the right amount of cheese on a perfectly baked crust.

I discovered mold in the bottom of the parmesan shaker, and when I mentioned it to the deli clerk, they said it was "normal." The pizza counter staff had a rude attitude, and when I requested fresh cheese, I was told, "We don’t have any cheese for you." Fortunately, a clerk from the deli side stepped in to help resolve the issue, but I really don’t understand how a pizza place can run without cheese.

This is the best deli in the world! The sandwiches, pizza, and service are outstanding.

The team at the pizza counter is consistently friendly, but the staff at the checkout clearly seem unhappy in their roles. Despite visiting several times in hopes of enjoying the food, I found the sandwiches and pizzas disappointing. However, the prepared cold salads and soup were quite good. It's also worth noting that the prices can change frequently, so it's something to keep in mind.

Delicious pizza, friendly service and the best calzones you’ll ever have. The chicken parm calzone was superb! Will definitely repeat..Also, a nice variety of many different dishes on their menu. Highly recommended!
