We began with the Thai Spring Rolls, which were delicious and accompanied by a dipping sauce that immediately captured our attention. The Vegetable Soup had a delicate yet flavorful broth, enriched with a wonderful variety of fresh vegetables. The Penang Curry is a true masterpiece, expertly balancing rich coconut flavors with a delightful hint of spice; it’s hard to believe you could find better anywhere else. The Pad Thai is equally impressive, matching the Penang Curry in taste and flavor, and may even surpass some of the best we've had. Golden Buddha is not a large, upscale Thai restaurant; rather, it feels like a cozy hidden gem, a charming mom-and-pop spot that you definitely don't want to miss when you're in the area!
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! I visited with a friend for a meal, and the service was outstanding. The food was even better! Since we weren't very hungry, we decided to share a Thai salad as an appetizer. We really enjoyed the dressing, though it was a bit heavy on the red onions. But that's the great thing about salads—you can easily pick out what you don't prefer! My friend ordered the chicken pad see ew while I went for the chicken panang curry, and we shared both dishes. They were both exceptional; I frequently order panang curry, and I believe this is the best I've ever had—it had a unique flavor compared to others I've tried. The pad see ew was light yet packed with flavor. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
The chicken satay was the best I’ve ever had—though the portion was small, it was perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy. I’ve had chicken satay elsewhere that was overcooked and dry, relying heavily on the sauce for flavor. Here, it was delicious either way. I enjoyed the peanut sauce but wished it were slightly thinner, as I had to dig deep to keep it on the chicken. Additionally, they provide a small plate with Sambal sauce, hot chili oil, and dried Thai chili flakes, so you can add some heat if desired. The Basil (Pad Gra Pow) featured a savory and flavorful Thai brown sauce, and when I added a bit of Sambal and the chili flakes, it elevated the dish even more. However, I wished there had been more meat in the dish, as the vegetables were great but could have used more meat to balance the bites. The white rice was good—nothing extraordinary. Overall, it was a fantastic experience to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine here.
