La Nonna Bella - Village of Garden City

I never had such a delicious dish as the pork braciole with gnocchi special June 1. My companion loved the mushroom fettuccini! Will be back!

Outstanding food and warm and lovely owners! A very special Italian restaurant for sure. Our party of 8 was so impressed. Highly recommend a visit to La Nonna Bella in Garden City.

Being born and raised in Puglia I was intrigued by the resaturant with chef from conversano. Unfortunately the excitement ends there. My second time visiting food has gone way downhill since last visit. My wife and I were very disappointed with both our pasta dishes. I ordered a simple linguine with clams. My wife a spaghetti carbonara. To start the dishes came with same size pasta. Neither were spaghetti or linguine. They were very thin spaghetti almost like angel hair. My clam dish was full of huge over cooked garlic chunks. The garlic was clealy over cooked and gave the dish an overwhelming burnt garlic taste thats was not pleasant. My wifes carbonara had same spaghetti as mine except hers were wayyyy too al dente and rather hard. The first time ever ordering a carbonara that was RED . Not sure what would make this dish red in color but it was disappointing and not very good at all. Needless to say we wont be returning.
