The restaurant has a tidy little setup, and the service was outstanding! Melanie was an excellent server. The food was tasty, and I even decided to order dessert (which is unusual for me). Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

The experience was disappointing! The staff was unfriendly, and despite calling themselves a smokehouse, the ribs were dry and tough. I won't be returning!

I absolutely love it! I live in Lyons/Newark and often travel to Phelps because no other restaurant in Newark or Lyons compares to the Blue Ribbon. I'm quite a picky eater, but I really enjoy the flavors of the meals there. I used to dine at Cross Park Canal View in Newark, but there is a significant difference, believe me.
