Feedback gevenThis is one of the worse service I have experienced, the waiter gave our plates to another table, it took them 20 minutes to serve 2 beers after reminding them twice, the table next to us waited for their bill for 30 minutes. They did not seem understaffed at all but the service was very slow and they are incompetent. The food was decent and the price is reasonable. However, I am definitely not coming back as the service ruined it for us. Better to bring your own food or buy it at the Buvette.
Despite that the food was good, not extraordinary, the view over Montreaux was taken from a Photo album. We ve used our Magic Pass to get here and the way up with the Train was fascinating. We had fondue that day, typical swiss food and a salad. I shall return soon, maybe în February. Totally recommended. One single problem, when i ve asked for extra bread, the woman which served said yes, but obviously she did not understand english. In french service îs fast... er!
First you have to find it. There are two restaurants where the cog railway ends at Rochers de Naye, but this one has only one sign telling where it might be and that sign is inside the railway station. However the trains don't enter the station they disgorge everyone onto the tracks just outside. Go into the station and enter the long tunnel opening at the far end, walk for three minutes through the rock and into the restaurant. Try and get a table in the lower portion up against the windows. The menu is fairly standard for mountain top restaurants in Switzerland. We had a plate of sausage and cheese (Tomme vaudois) and a plate of Rösti with a whole tomme warmed so in the inside was runny and slices of raw ham. This last was delicious especially as the rösti are home made not coming from a frozen package, (we checked). We washed this down with a local pinot noir, (Yvorne Vins Badoux famed for Aigle les Murailles). The coffee was excellent. All this with breathtaking views over the Lake. To be repeated.
Leider ungenügend! Am 7.8.20 waren wir im Restaurant zum Abendessen und es wurde uns CHF 34.00 zu viel berechnet. Da wir in Eile waren, um rechtzeitig den Zug zu erwischen, haben wir dies erst im Zug bemerkt und sofort per E-Mail gemeldet. Am 13.8.20 haben wir eine Antwort erhalten, dass uns der Betrag erstattet wird; bisher, über einen Monat später, ist jedoch noch nichts passiert. Auf E-Mails wird nicht mehr reagiert. Schade. Beim nächsten Mal bringen wir ein Picknick mit, um die tolle Aussicht zu genießen!
Wir wurden an einen freien Tisch platziert. Jedoch kam niemand, der uns bedienen wollte....Nach 10 Minuten standen wir auf und gingen nebenan, um uns die Getränke selbst zu holen.
