Creperie du Chateau-Chez Maman

Saturday night of rain. all the restaurants have closed their terrace and in this neighborhood, the majority of the prices are indecent for menus that, once set, do not worth what is presented. So we prefer crêperie to pseudo-gastronomic. the rooms are small but the reception is cordial and the friendly atmosphere. We can not worry about engaging with the occupants of the nearby tables, which augurs a good convivial evening. The card doesn't disappoint. wide choice of cakes and pancakes but also a few other dishes (salads, omelettes) at very reasonable prices. the first galette (classic salt butter) €1.5. the other galettes go up to 7 or 8€. We have tasted: the aperitif home (Credit cassis cream) light and fresh, the galettes (thon-piperade, egg-piperade, basquaise chicken) warm tasteful and hearty, the pancakes (chocolat, plum cream) just as it is necessary to be copiers without a nipple. a litre of cider (pressure.) about 50€ for three people. The toilet, not accessible to persons with motor disabilities, would require a small renovation and a temperature adjustment of the wash-hand.

Good pancakes at good prices. a nice atmosphere a little further away from the tourist area but in front of the castle. The basquaise chicken is excellent!

Located in front of the castle of pau, this small restaurant offers a very good price ratio and a nice terrace. the dishes offered are simple but of quality and well developed. service is efficient and smiling. we took two dishes of the day (faux-filet / fries at 17,80 both; 1/4 wine at 3.50 and 1/2 mineral at 4 € correct given the location of this establishment!

Terrace in a quiet place with beautiful view of the chateau and partly on the pyrenees. The gourmet coffee is excellent and especially crêpe.

Whilst visiting Pau for the Historic GP race we dined here on the Saturday evening, very busy and lucky to have got a table. Friendly staff and owner, good food and drink with excellent service. This is only a small restaurant but sits right next to the wall around the chateau so good views whilst you dine.We enjoyed ourselves here and would visit again if in Pau. It was a great pity that it was closed on the Sunday evening and would have saved us a horrible time at the restaurant around the corner.Loved it here and my wife enjoyed the food and she is one fussy food critic!Thanks to all of the staff.
