Been coming here for 30+ years and it never disappoints. French toast of the day, sitting at the courtyard bar with the locals in a place that hasn't changed since 1909.

Came here because of the great reviews, but unfortunately Our meal at Pepe's did not live up to it's reputation. We ordered stone crab appetizer, a fish entree, and 2 raw oysters. The raw oysters were good. The rest was not good, not terrible, but definitely not worth what we paid for it. Dry, firm fish, bland crab, asparagus barely cooked. We wanted to love this place, but it just wasn't worth it. The best reviews seem to be for steak and breakfast, so perhaps this is Pepe's strong suit. However, it is definitely not fish/crab.

Great service and atmosphere. we went two days in a row. amy was our waitress on the first day and she was fantastic. very friendly. do not know the name of the waitress on the second day. She was good too.

Pepe’s cafe that we found out was one of the oldest (and oldest! eat in key west. her happy hour special is every day of 4-6PM and the deal can not beat. it is 1/2 off oysters (the already $1.75 each that is a bargain anyway that were bigger than my palm! Moreover, there were also happy hour specials for a sortiment of other fresh seafood such as peeling and egg key west pink garnel (which is indigenous to the wrenches and has a sweeter taste than normal garnel, stone crawling, conch, etc. margaritas are also $6 for happy hour. the personal was very friendly, and penelope, our server even brought me a side of my own simple sirups for my thin margarita only for the case that it was too tart. it is a no-frills spot, but has this relaxed beach vibe atmosphere, which is away from the crazyness of duval street.
