Ocean's 14 - Virginia Beach

On Valentine's Day, we visited a restaurant and ordered a dozen raw oysters as an appetizer. Unfortunately, the wine selection was limited and the one we wanted was not available. I ordered surf and turf while my wife ordered a seafood combo. The food took a long time to arrive, with the appetizers and my surf and turf coming out first. My wife's meal arrived 10 minutes later, even though raw oysters should only take 30 minutes. The oysters were good, but by the time we finished them, my surf and turf was already cold. There was no offer to recook or reheat the dish. The steak had gristle, but the seafood was decent. Finally, when my wife's meal arrived, our alternate wine selection came 5 minutes later. It paired well with my cold and gristly steak. Overall, it was not the Valentine's Day dining experience we had hoped for. Maybe next year will be better.

The food was good but expensive. It was a nice experience trying this restaurant, but I don't feel like returning.

What a lovely place for some cool cocktails and delicious food! Our server was excellent. Live music was an awesome surprise! We will definitely be back soon

I ordered surf and turf while my wife ordered a seafood combo. Food took a long time and when it did arrive it was the appetizers and my surf and turf. My wife’s meal was another minutes. Raw oysters should take minutes. They were good but after eating them my surf and turf was already cold. No offer to refire or reheat. Steak had gristle but seafood was ok. After wife’s meal finically came out we received our alternate wine selection about minutes later. Went great with my cold gristley steak. Happy Valentine’s Day to us. Better luck next year I guess
