Gothems Cantina Y Casitas - Visby

Authentic super delicious Mexican cuisine in the middle of the beautiful Gotland! We had an amazing lunch break with chicken quesadilla and cattle nachos:

Gothem's Cantina is a pleasure. We have not explored Gotland with any particular agenda and were lucky to happen on the Cantina as we were hungry. Our daughter was at the end of a ten-month scholarship in Sweden, and she was in love with the country, but authentic (and really good) Mexican food made her day. We had a nice chat with the owner, got some recommendations for things nearby to see, and could not have been happier to share their culinary skills with Gotland. What a pleasant surprise to find a Mexican cantina in Gothem. The food was authentic and delicious. We ate in our van for Covid so I can't comment on the inside of the restaurant.

I am not a fan of Mexican food, because in the EU it is usually excessively spicy Mexican food, but this was really good. The basic dish is mild and you can use the salsa sauce to make it as spicy as you want.

This place is INCREDIBLE!!!!!! I moved from Texas and have been living in Sweden for a year. I have reallyyy been missing really good Mexican food and I can assure you this place is extremely authentic. Seriously so delicious and hands down best Mexican food I have had in Sweden thus far. I am really hoping they open a place in Stockholm soon..... I cannot recommend enough and also the owners are extremely nice!
