Bistro - Volksrust

The ambiance was lovely, but the food left much to be desired. The quail was overcooked and tough, resembling rubber bands. The mashed potatoes and beans were just passable. To top it off, the cappuccino tasted like sour milk. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

We ordered the quail, but the meat was so tough that we could barely cut it. The only enjoyable parts of the meal were the mashed potatoes and vegetables. The rhubarb pie was just acceptable. Additionally, the cappuccino was made with sour milk. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

If you appreciate delicious and affordable food along with excellent service, this is the spot for you. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff is fantastic. The chef creates delightful dishes. Be sure to check out the amazing art displayed and available for purchase in the restaurant. I will definitely be returning!

One of my favourite restaurants ! Every time we drive past Wakkerstroom we stop here to have lunch. The food is amazing and most of all the quality of your meals are the same. They have such interesting food and combinations. Really awesome
