In an area that is certainly not central, but convenient for those passing through, an unexpected, welcoming place characterized by traditional Mantuan cuisine. Very friendly and helpful staff. The pumpkin tortelli are very good, but the riso alla pilota with puntèl is even better: less frequent to find, especially in this more authentic version cooked in the cauldron. Ate with friends in this historic tavern, recently taken over by Elena and Flavio. What can I say, an experience absolutely worth repeating, I am a vegetarian and I found a buffet of seasonal vegetables, cooked with attention and care (the pumpkin was absolutely exceptional! . I had the pumpkin tortelli with vin cotto, a new flavor for me, but absolutely spot on, compliments to the chef Flavio! I continued with a cheese and mushroom fondue on rice polenta, truly excellent, and concluded with a nougat semifreddo accompanied by a delicious passito wine, recommended to me by Elena. We will be back very soon... Vegetarian options: The buffet of seasonal vegetables, cooked with care and attention, the pumpkin is absolutely worth trying, spectacular!
