Genovese's Pizzeria - Vonore

I wanted to love the place but, went to the door and a sign hung there that they were closed due to lack of staff.

Dropped in today, 95 degrees outside and at least 85 inside this place. Fairly dark inside with half the lights off. Not sure how they even see good to make the food with all the shadows. Pizza slices that were out looked old and all very plain, nothing I was interested in. So ordered a Cheesesteak sandwich. The sandwich was pretty good. I decide to add some condiments but those were old and tops crusted over. Cheese was clogged. Overall, underwhelming

Food is amazing, owners are great, the young lady cashing people out is so beautiful, great personality ... I'm sold, I'll be back many times more! Great job !!!!!

This place has the real N.Y. taste of Italian food, Having lived 40 miles from NY city and growing up with grandma's recipes. The food is awesome. It's a must try place to visit. They also do take out. Owners are awesome !!

Only got to try this place once and it was good. My only complaint would be the hours. The hours are short and they aren't opened during the evenings. They need to consider people work and would love to try their food but only can during supper time.
