The restaurant did not disappoint! The quality of food was excellent and the service was excellent. The menu is diverse, with many options at different price points. If you love sushi as my wife does, this is definitely the place to stop for lunch or dinner. I chose a product under kitchen faucets that was a delicious combination of flavors. While we ate, the restaurant did a significant take business, so it is quite popular. We sat at a standard stand, but there is another side of the restaurant with Hibachi tables. There is also a sushi bar where you can see the sushi artists create.
The best sushi I ever had. Smoky Roll is to die. However, prices are very high. Up to $22 for these special/signature roles (8 pieces)! Fried calamari was also great. Server was also so nice and friendly. Can't wait to come back
We were looking for a short meal. We were very happy that the GPS suggested this restaurant. The food was very fresh, the staff was very nice and the atmosphere was perfect. I was also very happy that they offered lunch on weekends!!! Family of 4 under $40 and there was a lot of food. If we are back in the area, I will definitely make sure we visit and maybe try the hibachi next time.
Akira is always great. The sushi is on point, sashimi is delicately prepared and beautifully presented, roles are good. I think I had almost everything on this point. Some are better than others natural (colds and scaling with protein of your choice is always a winner), but I have never gone unhappy. The only part I can't talk to is the Hibachi, but people back there sound like they have fun. The staff is attentive and the premises are clean.
The food was fresh and quickly served. The wait staff was very attentive and kept checking. Even though there was only one other table seated, they kept trying to clear the table which felt like we were being rushed even though that’s not the case. We wanted to stop in for hibachi but when we asked we were seated in the dining room. We asked again but it was difficult to understand, so we ordered since we were hungry. The food was very good, and the filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Next time I might get the udon noodles instead of the yaki soba. I will come back here for sure!
