So, we either had to ALL order our own dishes, or ALL have the all you can eat. Service was terrible, and food was terrible. I recently gave it another chance and ate here with friends... food was still terrible and I went home and ate dinner there. I overheard someone at the next people tell the server that they didn't get what they ordered (server brought the wrong dish), and the server just asked, "umm, okay, so do you want me to change it?" which was shocking because anywhere else I'm sure the server would've apologized and offered to make it right right away. My sushi was a little sketchy looking, and for roughly the same price you can get better sushi elsewhere. Go to temaki or yagoto just down the block. Do not eat here.
Very likely this is the place that you can find the best sushi value around Kitsilano area. I ordered a sashimi sushi lunch box which contains all sorts combinations. Service is quick which is lunch meal friendly.
Went here for lunch today. Knew nothing about it before hand. It was just convenient. There was a line up at 11:30 when they opened so I thought it must be good. I believe this was the worst sushi I have ever eaten. All they h ad was an all you can eat menu at the time. $14 during lunch time. I ordered miso soup. No flavor. Not off to a good start so far. Ordered gyoza. Horrible as well. No flavor at all. Ate one and left the other. Ordered a couple of pieces of tuna sushi. The rice that they were on did not taste fresh at all. Would not be surprised if it was day old. Ordered 2 pcs yam tempura. Tasted like it was left over from the day before and re heated. Horrible. Didn't eat the other piece. Ordered chicken teriyaki. Seemed like it was under cooked for one. They use the crappiest chicken I have ever had. Lots of gristley parts and pieces. Tried a few pcs and they were all the same. Didn't eat the rest. Disgusting. Ordered California and dynamite rolls. Again, rice did not taste fresh at all. These were the better parts of what I ordered but that is not saying much. Ordered lemon chicken. Seemed exactly like their toncatsu only drenched in some sort of lemon. Never had it like this. Wasn't great either. The toncatsu itself was okay. Cheaped out on the sauce for it. Nobody asked how everything was. No personality from the servers. Good grief there was nothing nice I can say here unfortunately. Bill time came and I struggled with whether to leave a tip or not. Didn't want to because it was very pathetic quality. Leaving no tip definitely sends a message.I did leave something but not much. Not sure how places like this survive when they cheat people with such poor quality. I will NEVER go back here and suggest you chew off your own limb and eat it versus going here LOL. ****IF YOU FOUND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT AND INDICATE SO.***
People who give this restaurant a poor review need to get over themselves. This is a low cost all you can eat sushi restaurant, what did they expect. Every one of the dozen o so people I've brought to this restaurant has enjoyed the experience, including vegetarians.I've been a regular here for the last two years. The workers are kind but often understaffed, which is why people mistake them for unobservant or rude during the all-you-can-eat rush. The food is very good given the price and quantity you get.If you want the best value, go for lunch on a weekday or the late night dinner after 9:30pm.
Our family go to place on the West side for All you can Eat. Good selection for the price with the option to get better stuff if you want to opt and pay more for it. All you can Eat starts only at 5pm Weekdays.
