Staff were very welcoming! Bunch of drink options. We ordered the goat cheese and spinach salad, yam Fries, and the siracha fish tacos and were not disappointed. It was our first food stop of our trip and we basically ate in silence because the food was so good! Salad was fresh and the dressing was the perfect amount. Fish tacos were incredible and set a high bar for the food portion of our long weekend. We couldn't stop talking about it the rest of the day. Prices were a bit higher than we expected for a beach bar, but once we took a bite we knew we were getting what we paid for.10/10 would recommend!
The Deck is awesome when it is sunny! The food was really impressive I had the Montreal beef dip.. the bun was so soft it just melted in my mouth.. little sodium heavy on the meat but really good and the fries were perfection.. Not a single drop of grease... crunchy dry with some spices... so good! My friend had the chicken fajitas and was equally happy about them. WE had a few drinks some great food on the deck and walked back home a few blocks away.I really want to go back for their trivia night & karaoke, bingo and live bands.. all close to home which is a real bonus.
We were driving along West 4th Ave. on a warm spring evening searching for a dinner place and came across this restaurant that obviously catered to a younger clientele than us seniors. However, we were hungry and the menu looked appealing so we sat outside and enjoyed a good beer from the wide selection on offer and excellent fish dishes. Friendly and efficient service was provided by the student waiters.
With a plethora of choices along 4th Ave W, we chose Displace for its sidewalk patio, but ended up eating inside since we'd just spent several hours walking Spanish Banks, not far away. Four adults, with varying tastes: fish tacos ("these are the best!"), chicken wings and fried pickles, "Muy Caliente" oven-baked pizza (Excellent and shared by two) and macaroni and cheese ("too bland for my liking").Lots of local brews on tap and free samples from the trays of servers (Captain Morgans new Pinapple Rum with cranberry juice). Very rustic environment and a band was setting up mid-Sat afternoon for evening ahead. RelaxedEnjoyableUnpretentiousQuality Eats and DrinksClean biffsVote is "I'd go back!"
Stopped for a late lunch, picking this place by chance. Tried the pizza, calamari and squash ravioli - all three were excellent! The calamari was tender and crisp; the ravioli was very flavourful; and the pizza was the best I have had for a long time. Service was quick, but they need a better way of handling the flights of beer.
