I would have given the place 5 out of 5.I've had to give it a 1 though as the waiter is the rudest man alive! From beginning to the end of the time I was there, he was rude and disrespectful at every point he could be.What really took the gold medal for insults though:Standing there and talking to your friends for 15 minutes (you certainly weren't talking about work). I was patient that long. When I politely asked for the bill, due to it getting closer to my flight. You hissed at me you were busy and then walked off to clear tables. Nice!Eventually, you did take my payment. But only after you clearly were trying to punish me in making me wait. It wasn't like the place was busy either.Your about 5'10" with maybe brown hair and I'm guessing in your 40's. I'm mentioning that as you deserve to be fired. I only have to read the other reviews to see similar instances.Sadly. You can only get to that level of rudeness if you know you won't get sacked. So unfortunately, you're probably an untouchable manager and will just carry on.
The restaurant is in a good position beside the fast food outlets approaching the security in the airport. The staff lacked any interest, they were not as effusive as all the other waiting staff we had come across in our visit. The food was pleasant, although we had to send two of three meals back as they were not hot. There are several restaurants at the far end of the terminal which I would recommend in preference to the Koho.
When ordering a burger, the menu says "Add Cheddar, Mushrooms, Bacon $1.99." However, it's $1.99 each, so a 14-dollar burger is suddenly a 20-dollar burger! The menu really should say "$1.99 each."
Arrived here at 7:30 pm and did not know that the kitchen closes at 8:00, wanted the chowder, but they were all out of soup for the day, so settled on a BLT which was tasty. Service was mundane as it was quite busy and the waitress acted like she wished her shift was over with already. Waited at least 10 minutes for our bill after asking for it and then had to ask again and finally got it.
This was a rather inexpensive airport place to relax, watch the traveller foot-traffic, enjoy a few beers and wings before settling down for the night at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport.
