Had attended a concert uptown, and I'm from out of town. So I took a chance and bypassed other places to eat. Should have taken the warning of the place under construction ad being an indication of food being kept under the warmer too long to compensate for low sales/volume (related to construction and closed dining room). Oh well. Probably shouldn't eat fast food anyway. Just another reason not to. Combo meals are near $10 these days, with no change in the value or preparation. Soggy onion rings.....yum.
I asked for a junior whopper meal and got zero toppings and a half full coke. I should've taken my chances with McDonalds and their cockroaches.
People are always nice and our food is always fresh and
The food here was very good. Hot sandwiches and fries. Something the Peru, Indiana restaurants could learn.
I'm giving them one star, because no stars is not an option. My husband and I had tickets for a concert at the Honeywell Center and needed to grab a quick dinner. We decided on Burger King, and drove to the restaurant to eat. When we got there, a couple was just getting their food. I heard the woman say something about waiting 20 minutes. My husband and I ordered. There were two young men working the drive thru. The woman who took our order, appeared to be in charge. After we ordered, two more couples came in and ordered. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. While we waited, people in the drive thru were getting their food. No one made a move to get our order put together. We heard one of the boys in the drive thru tell the manager that he just gave a customer $70 in change instead of $7, laughing about it. The manager took the drawer to count, disappearing into the back. Another young man came in and clocked it. By this point, there was no time for us to eat, we had been waiting 20-25 minutes for our food, so my husband asked for a manager for a refund. He was very angry, I won't lie. The kid at the register started fumbling, said he didn't know how to do a refund, then threw down his headset, said I'm only 15, and walked out the door, returning only to throw the receipt at my husband before leaving again. Still no manager. Finally, whoever the young man was who was cooking came out and started issuing refunds. He was very apologetic and polite. We got our refund. The couple who came in after us (who I found out were also going to the concert) asked for a refund as we went out the door. Don't know about the other couple.Burger King used to be our go to when we need to grab some fast food. Not anymore. Until they get this place cleaned up, we will not be back.
