Burgschanke Wachtenburg

After a small hike through a beautiful forest piece and the weinberge we reached the beautiful Wachtenburg. a suddenly occurring hunger feeling after the sight of the burgeoners was hardly felt. in the conventional sense there is no operation. self-service is recommended. I'm sure it's reasonable. fortunately we have caught a quiet day in the week here, at weeks and in the holidays it will certainly look different here. so we ordered our drinks in the dining room. the hostess was very rough when they asked about eating. somehow it is that they know the cursor as a visitor: order drinks at the counter, find menu and order yourself. drinks are taken, for eating they get a number called, then they also pick up the dishes at the outside window of the kitchenneck. everything as good as possible, but they would have explained it with ease. presumably, the scrubs are operated via the allocation of the conveyor circuit, whereby the residues are reduced. after the drinks 2 x delicious rieslingschorle and food order and the above mentioned processes I have put my expectations on the status tourinepp. from the small but well thought-out menu we chose the camenbert with bread € 5,50 and the white cheese with pell kartoffel € 6, . our order number was called and I went alone to get the food. and not badly blown! 1 brot basket with apetitichem land brot, 1 board with 1 complete camenbert I think the three corners have 200 g beautiful with salat leaf, tomato, salat gurke, fresh pfeffer stripes, mini powder and tweeper rings, all ingredients fresh and crisp. the white cheese as large part on a porcelain plate with the same appealing decoration. on a further plate 2 hot pellet spider with a really large potato taste. I had difficulty getting this appeal as a non-trained service on the table. so everything but to tourinepp, so positiw to be surprised. no gourmet kitchen. but the price performance is more than matched, the courts corresponded to the card and the expectations were more than exceeded. thanks to the kitchen! to the ambiente of the guest room I can not say much wood, suitable for a lockpot. we were just on the switch in the entrance. on the outside terrace hikers can experience all weather conditions. all sit on the dreamy blew to watch home, and therefore they crawl on one lock and strengthen themselves! as far as they can say this for the outside area: all clean and well maintained wooden tables and benches . the toilets of the restaurant were not visited. but the 24h toilet for the walker. and here also the hat of : completely new, with sloping optics tiles and quarry stone wall. porcelain wc and hand wash basin with soap and paper towels. and: piccobello clean! that speaks for the club and the hikers. Unfortunately, the donation box for this sanitary luxury device sounded very empty at my coin throw.

Since my wife and I were recently in Germany and we both are very interested in burgruinen, picturesque views, hiking and German beer. this place was on none of the sights as far as to do. we have only encountered it because the natives we have met recommended it as one of their favorites. we had explored several small burgruinen in front of location and even some other up to 2 hours away from our hotel in imperial liars. the burgschänke Wachtenburg was the best two worlds, as it was the first ruin to which a restaurant was connected. nothing goes about a beautiful German beer after a short walk from the city. parking is difficult to get. most native go up. there is an unrestrained way that leads up, but I am not quite sure whether I should go up or not, since it is not really marked and I mentioned that it is an unrestrained way a hill / mountain. remain also left on the unconsolidated road on the y. left remains low and goes to the restaurant, to the right continue the hill up to the wine mountains of men. beautiful scenery at the ruined and great local staff at the bar, there it looked like a museum, but it was closed when I visited it.
