Southern Roots Brewing Co. - Waco

Very nice brewery tucked away in Old downtown Waco. The pizza is great here and they have a great variety of beer for every season.

It was just a weird vibe. The wait staff didn’t really wait on us. The pizza was very mediocre even though it’s the one the guy at the counter recommended. The girl working hardly even acknowledged anyone. She took my empty glass without asking if I wanted a refill. Our pizza came to the table and we were told there was paper plates on the barrels we could grab ourselves. Just not very customer friendly.

The pizza is good, and the beer is better! The seating is a little hard, but overall not bad. There was card games on the right wall you can borrow to play at your table.

Husband thought his beer was okay. However, we felt like we were at a Chucky Cheese. Definitely not your typical Brewery. Tons of kids screaming. We could not even hear ourselves. I love breweries being a family atmosphere, but this atmosphere was completely off putting.

Food is very good! We had pizza and boneless wings. They took over an hour to get our food. The atmosphere is decent, but slow food takes the fun out...
