Lava Lava Beach Club - WAIKOLOA

The restaurant works in a first coming, first served format and does not accept reservations. We were a party of 4 and came at 5:30, and we were told that waiting was 1.5 hours. We got the text that our table was ready at 6:15! The restaurant layout is all outdoors with live music, which was really nice. We also have a nice sunset to enjoy! The food flavor was excellent, but we felt that low and slow? Baby back ribs AND the fish of the day (Monchong) were boiled a bummer because the sauces tasted so well.

Great sunset culinary experience. The food was good. Casual ambience. The staff was great.

An excellent place to dine on the beach, especially at sunset. The music and the Hawaiian dancer was a big plus. Minus a star for the extremely high prices for the meal.

Amazing experience! I'm very sad I'm here last night. My waitress was Kris and she had the absolutely best customer service I've ever experienced and the food was absolutely delicious. I wish I would? ve known about this business earlier, would I? ve comes back every day!! Thank you.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of dining at Lava Lava Beach Club. A beachfront social club with spectacular views and on the water seating. Since I'm visiting The Big Island of Hawaii I knew I wanted fish. I went with the Hook, Line, and Sinker, a chef's special that changes daily with the catch of the day. Last night it was a seared shitome with togarashi spice over a purple sweet potato mash with a mushroom medley in a lime vinaigrette dressing with pineapple mango salsa and two coconut shrimp topped with microgreens and lime. This dish was divine. The fish was cooked and seasoned perfectly over a bed of flavorful purple mash. The fish was white inside, moist and filling and the combination of the flavors of the lime vinaigrette, to the mushroom medley, to the pineapple mango salsa was magical. Everything was cohesive and worked together wonderfully. A special shout out to my server Justin Agbayani who made my experience top-notch. He took the time to throughly explain several menu items to me and provided exceptional service.
