Main Street Bistro - Wailuku

Best lunch on Maui. We always make a trip to mail street when we are on maui. You should always have someone get the daily special.

Very under-rated chef WOWED us with highly creative gourmet lunches, at once delectable and artistically presented. My description could never do our meals justice! They ranged from local seafood served atop a medley of zucchini/veggies and crowned with torched artichoke hearts to my husband's beef rib special with the best macaroni salad I ever sampled. Mine also came with gourmet salad greens with cashews and balsamic vinaigrette for $10 or $12 total! Wish I could post a picture or two here of our plates! We were pleased to be seated near the open kitchen which afforded us the privilege of conversation with our amiable chef, who shared a few of his techniques and ingredients! Having had our fill we reluctantly turned down desert until our server advised us that his masterpiece inside-out banana cream pie which he torched to crisp perfection would easily serve four. We were NOT disappointed. We will have to return to Maui if only to revisit Main Street Bistro!!!

Make a trip to other side of island just to eat at Bistro. Usually once a week. Love the onion rings and the burgers. Brisket is melt in your mouth. Doing great Tapas after 3 pm and outstanding martinis, only place that has Dolgoruki vodka I could find on Maui!

Great local food! The owner/chef met us at the door and seated us. We started with some awesome onion rings very thin and delicious. My wife had a Fish sandwich and I had the chicken and fried rice. For desert we had cheesecake with carmel on top. Overall, great service and food. Would go back in a minute!
