The menu highlights healthy options, and I decided on the avocado and poached egg on toast. The dish arrived within 20 minutes and was served steaming hot. While the prices were on par with those at the Waldorf Astoria, they may be considered a bit high for the Orlando area.
The food is great at Oscar's and we enjoy frequenting for Brunch, and recommend it to everyone! However, please note that as policy they do not accept reservations - even if you're booking through OpenTable! Seating is based on a first come, first seated basis. Be aware that they will accept an online reservation, with no intention of honoring it if seating is full.
Stuck in Mickey-land for a convention, a group of us were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oscar's at the Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. Although I'm not a lover of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual, including a smoked salmon bar, prosciutto bar and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of family's with kids, so it was a bit noisy, but that didn't really detract...everything the group of 4 tried, we loved. Only 2 things that were a little strange were that the cost of the buffet only included Mimosas, not **** Marys and there were no Eggs Benedict on the buffet??What impressed me most though was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar, it was empty, although two staff members I asked told me it would be restocked. When I mentioned it to our waiter, he came back and said they'd run out, which was disappointing. The manager came over an apologized, said they'd even sent over to the next door Hikton but they were out til Monday...not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate heaped with the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time....THAT is service.
Breakfast Buffet located in Waldorf AstoriaExcellent selectionExcellent food Very enjoyable experience
We had breakfast at this restaurant this morning during our stay at the Waldorf Astoria. The buffet had exceptional food with a wide selection to choose from. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and kind. Today is my husband's birthday, which I mentioned when making reservations. I only expected a simple birthday wish at a breakfast restaurant, but they surprised us by bringing out a personal cake with a candle and "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate on the plate. It was a delightful treat! Although it is a bit expensive, it is definitely worth every penny!
