Loved the friendly service. There was a young staff member on hand cleaning the tables. Fast service. While I missed out on one of their homemade pies... They looked delicious. We will be making a special trip back just to try one.

Genuine old skool kiwi cafeteria food. Stopped for a couples of pies on the run today and we were mighty impressed. Now that's a working mans pie! Coffee was spot on. Place could do with a brighten up, looks very dark from the street and its not fancy, but its clean and tidy and all the food looked delicious. Top marks to your Baker.

Friendly owner, reasonable selection of tasty food, quite good coffee. food is a bit expensive, but most of it seems home made. They have home made pies but i haven't tried them yet. the decor is simple, but all is pretty clean and tidy. This used to be PJ's Café, but new owners and new name. Doors through to the bar next door have been permanently closed, and that makes for a better environment. today i had a coffee and apricot slice. i arrived just after 3pm closing (Monday), but they still served me and another customer and didn't hurry us out the door. Worth a lot if you're passing through Waipawa.
