We loved your breakfast, all the little attentions you give to your guests! And we loved especially the free yoga session, all your tips, your help and how you shared so much of your knowledge with us! We would definitely come back to your place when the opportunity arises! I would definitely recommend!
Very friendly welcome, clean rooms, friendly staff and close to the airport. Breakfast was very good. I don't know where the statement about the great sunset comes from. You can't see him out of the facility in September. It was the easiest hostel on our tour through Flores, too expensive. The room was very dark, there is no warm water. The beds are mosquito nets. However, these are erroneous and thus only conditionally a protection. On the other hand, the net on my bed was so dense that no airflow came through from the fan. There is no beach. As a result of the rise in the sea level, it was removed and therefore there is a wall towards the sea. A protective wall was then artificially built 20m further. See also good at Google Maps.
Stayed here for a full week and was very happy indeed. There 's no direct beach access, but the garden in which the cottages are set is well-kept and the whole set-up is very cozy. My cottage was simple (no AC) but very comfortable, impeccably clean and also very cozy. Loved the semi-private (actually 90% private) terrace and the jungle-style open-air bathroom. Breakfast is copious and delicious, the place is great for meeting other travellers, and on the whole it 's fantastic value. Owner Susi was not there while I stayed but her husband Herman took care of everything in a very professional and likeable manner, and with a great sense of humour. The whole team, Adel and four interns, were great, friendly, very service-minded and professional. Plus, the place operates in an eco-conscious manner, separating trash, keeping chickens onsite etc. Absolutely loved it here and felt very much at home.
A lovely setting and nice rooms but Susi is a complex character. During our stay there wasn’t a motorbike for rental despite her information sheet claiming there was. It also states breakfast is available from 6am (a big reason we booked to stay here) but it was only available from 7am. A polite request for an ‘early’ breakfast, the morning of our scuba dive was declined she deliberately kept us waiting and brought our food out even later than 7 knowing we had to leave for our dive. True hosts we have encounter across Asia have accommodated a one off, polite request. Not stubborn Susi. Drinking water is available for donation. There were dead rats in the grounds during our stay. She would bring breakfast out one by one and keep you waiting for various items. Either knifes and forks one morning, toasted bread the other. I found her behaviour throughout our stay strange.
