I enjoy this restaurant, but it is above average for this type of Chinese cuisine. However, customers may need to search through the menu to find dishes they like. The pan-fried dumplings, kung pao chicken, and General Tso's chicken are all good options. I also like the hot and sour soup. The General Tso's shrimp, which is only available on the special menu on the wall, is very tasty but quite expensive, so it may be best saved for a special occasion. I would recommend avoiding the sweet and sour dishes as they have a thick, overly sweet, red-colored sauce without a hint of sourness. The meat is usually overcooked. It's a shame because good sweet and sour dishes are typically one of my favorites. The cold sesame noodles are difficult to eat. The chef specials are the best option here.
I absolutely adore China Fun in Waitsfield and will always love it. The food is delicious, served quickly without compromising quality, and the interactions with the employees and owners are enjoyable. The prices are fair for the quality of food you receive. I have never experienced long waits or any issues with my order. To any negative reviewers, I say ignore them!
We always order takeout from this restaurant. It's excellent - always fresh, no MSG, and we have never had a bad meal. It's a wonderful family-owned business! Their new location now has seating options for dining in too.
