Localfolk Smokehouse - Waitsfield

The night we went it was very busy. They were short a server. But, our waitress was very friendly and the food was great. Made sure to leave a generous tip because you could tell she was slammed.

I love this local dive bar/BBQ restaurant! It has a very welcoming and fun feel. They have games (pool, and arcade games which is great when we go out with our son, and they sometimes have live music. We often go when my in laws are visiting from out of state. The food is enjoyable (pretty good doesn't need to be the best I've ever had because the environment makes up for it! .

Holy sweet baby Jesus this place sucks. I thought about writing a long, blistering review about this putrid establishment, but it 's not worth my time or your time. Let me just give you a run down of what we experienced. 9 of us sat down, put in our orders, and waited almost an hour for our food to come out. The food finally comes out and everything is ice cold. My cousins basket of fries were sitting out for so long that they were literally sticking together, if you tried to take one fry out of the basket you would pick up every other fry in that basket because they all stuck together. Long story short, we complained to our waitress, the waitress tells the owner, the waitress comes back to us and says the owner is discussing things with the kitchen. After discussing things for more than 20 minutes, the owner never visits our table to apologize, instead he just gives us a whopping $20 off our bill even though none of us barely ate anything. Do yourselves a favor and never visit this loathe-some hovel so you don 't feel the need to properly register your disdain on facebook.

Good food and a good choice of beer. Great place to watch the Superbowl when we're over. Good local place with a good atmosphere.
