Had wednesday afternoon carvery and a pot of tea and the food is spot on!! Would highly recommend it.
We booked here for dinner on our way up the A1. We had fish and chips, liver, bacon and chips, a side of onion rings and a child's fish fingers followed by honeycomb cheesecake and chocolate fudge cake. It was standard pub food nothing special, but fairly cheap and convenient for where we were staying.
This is a fantastic place. It's actually one of our favorite spots in town. The food is delicious and the service is top-notch. The food is made to order so there might be a bit of a wait, but it's definitely worth it. We tried the hunters chicken and mixed grill, both cooked perfectly.
Excellent atmosphere and really good food at reasonable cost. Cracking pint of John Smiths too. Miss this place.
